Method 1 - Casement removed from windows
- Remove sash from frame
- Remove all old furniture (where new furniture is specified)
- Scrape excess paint from frame
- Touch up chipped/bare timber with white acrylic paint unless an alternative is supplied by the customer
- Refit sashes to frame, shoot in, or pack as necessary
- Close any open joints
- Make good/repair where old ironmongery has been removed
- Biscuit cut perimeter of the ash to accept draughtsealing material
- Re-hang the sash. Use new screws and hinges (where specified)
- Fit new furniture or refit existing as appropriate
- Remove sash from frame

Method 2 - Casement remains on hinges
- Remove furniture
- Clean off excess paint and touch in bare wood as necessary with white acrylic paint unless an alternative is supplied by the customer.
- Ensure windows are opening correctly, if not - remove from hinges and refit
- Fit new staff bead with brush pile around the inside of the window
- Fit new furniture or refit existing
